In 1990’s the 2nd generation leaders of the organization diversified business to provide electrical service to the nation. It was started as a project department based on lightning protection systems. Project Department of Empire Trading Agency (PVT) Ltd. became the island best professional service provider in direct lightning protection and surge protection within 10 years through excelled French technology gained from French collaboration with Helita S.A.
Direct lightning protection & surge protection system of Radar Tower of Katunayake International Airport, Colombo Town Hall Building, Beruwala Lighthouse in Barberyn island, Adam’s Peak, Kalpitiya Wind Firm & Welikanda 10 MW Solar Power Plant are very few remarkable installations done by our Project Department. It has been providing services for lightning protection systems to all leading Telecommunication Service Providers in the last 20 years, starting with uplifting of telecommunication sector in Sri Lanka.
In 2014, our Project Department marks its offshore foot print by installing Direct Lightning Protection System to Randheli Tourist Resort in the Maldives.
