We have introduced a Wireless Solution for Runway Lightning of Rathmalana Airport. Avlite’s solar airfield lighting system provided an unified solution for Ratmalana airport, which included Nos of Avlite’s AV-426 Runway Lights and Nos of AV-70 Taxiway Lights, operate with wireless RF radio controler. Both the AV-426 LED Runway Lights and the LED AV-70 Taxiway Lights are self-accumulative solar design which eliminate ant wire connection.
Designed to offer high autonomy, ease of installation and years of maintenance-free service, Tthe attractive point is airfield lighting system remains fully operational even when airport lost its main ground power.
This specific model also features PALC (pilot activated lighting control) is specified as part of the lighting system. The PALC allows approaching aircraft to activate the airfields’ lighting system via a standard on-board aircraft radio. Overnight staffing and night time illumination requirements have been eliminated therefore resulting in cost savings for the airport.
These light systems are also suitable for make shift runway where a temporary runway is laid out for emergency purposes to land or take-off light aircrafts which totally eliminate requirement of hard wiring by simple instillation Avite’s Av solar system. When the runway is dismantled just remove the lights.
